Digital Writer in Residence

Acclaimed writer Volodymyr Rafeienko will be digital writer in residence hosted by the Humanities Department of the University of Chichester.

Volodymyr, who writes in Ukrainian, will take part in a range of seminars and talks at the University from Ukraine.

Alongside the residency the University of Chichester and partner Stephen Spender Trust are developing a community education and outreach programme spotlighting Ukrainian language, literature and translation in the UK.

This activity will be evaluated with a view to potential continuation, exploring the role of digital residencies attached to academic institutions as a mode of shared knowledge and international engagement.

The University of Chichester and Stephen Spender Trust will jointly deliver the activity with partnership contribution from Rathbones Folio Prize. Contributory funding partners also currently include: University of Chichester, National Centre for Writing, Christs’ Hospital School and Buckinghamshire Council.
