Lviv Municipal Art Centre invites you to the exhibition of the history of evacuation of people with disabilities at the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine. It is based on a sociological study for the WARPATH.24.02 project, created by the Fight For Right team.
The mandatory evacuation as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has become one of the many common stories of this war. The multimedia exhibition will immerse you in a polyphony of voices in an attempt to convey this unexpected life experience: dangerous, exhausting and drastically different from ordinary travel.
“IT WAS VERY COLD IN THE MORNING AND THE SUN SHONE INCREDIBLY BRIGHT” will focus on the diversity and multiplicity of our experiences, amplify the weakest voices, unfold the stories of evacuation of people with disabilities on both audiovisual and narrative levels. It will allow us to generalise and distinguish, to talk about commonalities and differences. It will help to see events in a personal dimension as well as in the temporal continuity and historical narrative.
The inclusive exhibition is based on a sociological study for the WARPATH.24.02 project, created by the Fight For Right team, an organisation that consistently advocates for the rights of people with disabilities. The main goal of the project is to draw attention to the needs of people with disabilities in Ukraine, which has been at war for nine years.

The exhibition is curated by Oleksandra Nabieva. Project coordinator — Viktoriya Luchka. Project sociologist and contributor — Hanna Zaremba-Kosovych. Translator — Iryna Sheremet. The exhibition is free to visit every day from 10:00 to 21:00.
